Cooling Tower Distribution Pipe Repair

Repair and Coating of Main Cooling Tower Water Distribution Pipe (36" x 92 ft. long) at Bayer Rubber Plant, Orange, TX

Upon inspection of the pipe during a scheduled plant turn-around, it was discovered that continuous leaks had caused massive erosion on the bottom of the pipe. Replacement of pipe was not an option due to fire restrictions and time constraints.

Pipe was repaired in place with approximately $66,000 of Machinable Repair™ and Metalink Brush-on Ceramic Coating.  Estimated savings for replacement of pipe:  $325,000.
